Officially announced by Minister Hildegarde Naughton TD and supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland, our new delivery centre in Galway brings together software engineering, quality engineering, DevOps, project delivery and AI capabilities. It gives customers in Ireland and international markets access to local expertise, backed by Comtrade 360’s wider delivery network.
Almost 20 professionals have joined the Galway operation during 2026, and we plan to grow to approximately 50 highly skilled roles as the centre develops. The operation is already supporting an established customer in the global technology sector, building on more than two decades of work with organisations across Ireland.
Galway brings together local engineering talent with the wider expertise of Comtrade 360. The team works across software engineering, quality engineering, DevOps and project delivery, while being closely connected to our international delivery network across Europe and the United States.
The investment has been welcomed by Peter Burke TD, Minister of Enterprise, Tourism & Employment, who highlighted the confidence international technology companies continue to place in Ireland’s skilled workforce and technology ecosystem.
“The capabilities being developed in Galway spanning software engineering, project delivery and artificial intelligence will further strengthen our technology ecosystem and contribute to Ireland’s continued competitiveness in a rapidly evolving global sector.”
Hildegarde Naughton TD, Minister of Education and Youth, also welcomed our arrival in Galway, recognising the region’s strong reputation for innovation and its close collaboration between industry and academia.
“Galway is a natural choice for this investment,” said Yvonne Brewer, Business Development Director, Ireland and UK, Comtrade 360. “It combines exceptional engineering talent with a dynamic international business community and strong links between industry and leading education and research institutions. Our Galway team connects that local expertise with Comtrade 360’s international engineering capabilities.”
Dónal Travers, Executive Director of IDA Ireland, also highlighted Galway’s ability to support internationally focused technology operations, noting that the investment provides us with a strong base from which to serve customers across Ireland and international markets.
As our presence in Galway develops, we will continue to expand the capabilities we bring to customers, from modernising complex technology environments and accelerating software delivery to adopting AI securely and effectively. This includes Aurora360, our AI-native software delivery framework, and HyperSharp, our privacy-preserving AI platform, alongside other services and solutions across our technology portfolio.
With a strong foundation in place, we look forward to what we can build together with our customers, partners and the wider Galway technology community.
